Argan Oil Skin Sealer

Argan oil is extracted from the fruit of the argan tree, which grows exclusively in Morocco. The oil consists of 38-50% oleic acid (omega-9), 28-38% linoleic acid (omega-6), 10-18% palmitic acid, as well as a relatively large amount of antioxidant vitamin E (about twice as much as olive oil). The oil also contains antioxidant phenols (caffeic acid, ferulic acid and epicatechin), and some rare sterols that may contribute with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. This rich argan oil is mixed with sunflower oil which with its composition of 50-74% linoleic acid (omega-6) and 14-35% oleic acid (omega-9) gives the product a lighter and less greasy feeling on the skin. The two oils together make the product ideal for strengthening the skin’s barrier function and maintain the skin’s moisture level. Argan oil can be used for all skin types. The oil can also be used for hair care.
